PROGRAM SUMMARYAtlanta_Skyline.jpg

For over 5 years, Joyfields Institute has led the field in capacity building on Evidence-based Practices. This June professionals and practitioners will gather in Atlanta to learn winning ways for “Building Enterprise Excellence”.  Our program theme is “Strategies and Tactics, Ethical Conduct and Corporate Sustainability” and we invite you to be a part of it.  With a laser focus on what works, this comprehensive program provides the skills, tools and resources you need for creating organizations and programs that thrive in today's economy.

Success requires the utmost in leadership, strategic planning, evaluation and funding sustainability.  Challenging economic times and declining resources call for wise decisions about how available resources will be utilized.

This year we offer you the opportunity to choose between a 3-Day, or a 5-Day program.  Whichever you choose, you will have made the right choice too!

The 3-Day program runs from Monday June 11th to Wednesday June 13th and all participants get to be a part of it.  This is a comprehensive program on
Leadership in Strategic Planning, Accountability and Funding Sustainability in which the systematic planning and evaluation process is presented to highlight the core roles and functions of leadership and management within any organization.  It also addresses the essence of proactive collaboration, data analysis and use for promoting your operations while also driving internal processes and quality.

The 5-Day program runs through the entire week from June 11—15 and incorporates all of the 3-Day curriculum.  In addition, the final 2 days is chuck full of off-site learning and activities.  On Thursday June 14th, we go off-site to Chateau Élan, the premier winery and leisure destination.  During
the outing we will begin our discussion around the topic of “Ethical Leadership: Opportunities For The New Millennium”, and also engage in activities built around the topic and perhaps make time to do some shopping!

We will wrap up on Friday June 15th in style with more discussion around the subject of Ethics again off-site at another destination yet to be announced!  We wrap up the entire program in the early afternoon of that day.

There is no doubt in my mind that the program, “
Building Enterprise Excellence” will position you to confidently move forward with turning your agency into it can indeed become.

I thank you for the opportunity to serve you in this capacity and look forward to seeing you in the Atlanta, Georgia’s own Peach City.

Conversation, Reflection and Site Specific Discussions for System Transformation

This part of the program is designed to present participants with opportunities beyond the in-classroom lecture setting.

During this 2-day period, participants engage in informed conversations to explore and address site specific questions that do not lend themselves very well to structured classroom lecture conditions.  Attendees get the chance to enjoy thoughtful conversation with peers from various parts about common challenges they face.  They will be in a position to explore opportunities in a less structured setting aimed at helping participants gain insights that can aid their organization's transformation.

Professionally moderated learning sessions conducted at exciting off-site locations to help executives put what they have learned in motion addressing their very own unique challenges and goals.

Participants are encouraged to consider the role of "Ethical Leadership" in their dealings and on the business landscape.

Ethical Leadership: Leveraging Opportunities For The New Millennium

Enterprises today are subject to great pressures—internal and external that include regulatory changes, ethical questions and the challenges related to globalization.  Often leadership and management values and beliefs create ethical dilemmas and ultimately shaky skewed corporate cultures at best.  For these reasons organizations end up making well intended decisions that lead them down destructive path.  If an organization is regarded as corrupt and unethical it looses credibility, faces increased scrutiny and its legal troubles mount.

Besides, managers and agencies who conduct themselves ethically are respected and held in high regard by peers, subordinate groups as well as competitors.  This image in community makes it easier to conduct business and achieve desired outcomes while building confidence and transparency in who you are, your products and services.  Customers and shareholders will feel secure in doing business with you if your agency is known to be run on ethical principles.

Some say ethical leadership is needed.  We say ethical leadership is essential and is a key to your success as an organization in the new millennium

What participants Will Learn

This program encourages participants to think of ethical leadership as an untapped competitive advantage and shows you how you can build value customers will “see”, “touch” and pay for.

The program will also teach how smart organizations leverage ethical practices to differentiate themselves from competitors and the large majority of agencies headed down the path of unethical and corrupt practices.

Participants will learn steps for making ethical decisions, instill confidence and loyalty in staff and seize upon ethical business practices as a competitive advantage.
