Program Outline

Understand and learn proven "contact moment" skills evidence-based professionals must possess to work well with clients in their domain.

Build capacity for assistively navigating available resources and conducting durable hand-offs - skills for collaboratively engaging with clients to link them with resources they need to succeed.

This program has been developed as formal education for client-facing professionals in human, social and justice services fields. It teaches skills in the common elements of evidence-based approaches that practitioners must prioritize for helping clients they serve to acquire or strengthen their ability to perform critical life functions they may have “lost”. These skills are essential in any life domain for helping recipients of services to incrementally improve versus “punishing” or "rehabilitating".

The common elements in EB approaches shift practice from diagnostic, problem, and clinically driven approaches to “partnering” as an advanced skill.

Effective case management is a collaborative process of assessing, planning, facilitating, and advocating for options and services for collaboratively meeting clients' individual needs efficiently. Adopting evidence-based and strength-centered practices is a commitment to professionalism, quality care and effective client services in the face of large caseloads, and often limited resources. This program will aid in closing the gap.

“Partnering” is a term that operationalizes a deeper knowledge and skillful application of sophisticated facilitation skills by the practitioner. This moves the skills of the practitioner beyond expert knowledge of disorders and their remedies, to a level of facilitation that enables the person being served to benefit from the contact moment - in any method, program, or practice. Participants in this program will be in a position to.

  • Identify the common elements in “evidence-based” practices
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform Strength-Based Strategies
  • Demonstrate Evidence Based Interventions for each of the 3 differing levels of readiness
  • Complete the process for “Evidence Based Practitioner” certification (Optional)
