Program Summary

Situations as:

  • Suicidal Ideation

can and do have a profound impact on the health and functioning of youth, their families and communities.

The COVID pandemic raised issues that influence how a youth perceives their day-to-day life. Social media portrays suicide as an option for dealing with difficult issues. As resource parents, the first step in preventing suicide is identifying the warning signs for a youth living in 2021. Join us to take steps in assisting youth in your care. At the conclusion of this webinar, the participants will be in a position to:

  • Identify the most common adolescent suicide behavioral and situational warning signs.
  • Link the current atmosphere of the COVID pandemic to the increase in a youth's risk of suicide.
  • Respond to a youth displaying suicidal warning signs.

Who Should Attend?

Services providers and their staff, managers, supervisors, program managers and professionals who coordinate services and resources for helping clients and their families succeed.
