Program Outline
This is a live online workshop on Motivational Interviewing (MI) skills, an industry recognized course. MI is a method that has been in use for over 50 years to help people change behaviors. Professionals have come to realize how effective this method is and make it an essential part of their tool kit.
MI is an evidence-based, collaborative, and goal-oriented approach that helps people resolve ambivalence and make changes in their lives. The goal of motivational interviewing is not to convince someone to change but to explore and resolve the person's own reasons for wanting to change.
This course is offered with pre- and post- testing for clients to acquire additional professional skills to aid in professional development.
* Professional Certification: Training hours credits earned may be applied toward certification, or potentially meet other professional licensing and continuing education requirements.
